i dont really… WANT… to leave tumblr. ive been here since 2011
no other platform has the right format for me to just randomly barf actual thoughts, joaks, and genuine creative content all in the same breath. i dont know how to compartmentalize
every other platform you gotta be a real person. Here you are you’re icon and username and whatever your hyperfixation is at the current moment
on tumblr you can make a post that just says “minecraft” and get 50k notes, where on twitter you have to steal tweets and instagram you have to be hot. tumblr is more like a bunch of kids let loose in walmart where there are no rules and the only god is a bald swedish man
making friends is the hardest thing for me because im always awkward and ive been used to people making ME their friend and im #damaged to the point where i doubt everyone’s sincerity towards me. the friends ive had and kinda still have either left me, or i left them. or they liked me at some point so its weird. or we’re not as close anymore. i try to make work friends and i come off so creepy like “hey wanna go somewhere since we get out at the same time” sounds terrifying coming out of my mouth. i make casual friends and i gotta be aware that i don’t overstep boundaries or create discomfort because honestly we can never get to THAT level. i want like a raw friend. one where we can mutually cuss each other out and still be super close and go places together and there’s no awkwardness. but that’s like impossible. there’s one girl i reaaallllyyy wanna be friends with at work and me and her always joke and it’s somewhat easy to talk to her but im pretty sure we’re not in the same mentality in a way and yea.
